About Custom PDF Download Layouts

By default, when you download reports to PDF, you'll get the Enalyzer Standard Report layout. However, if you're working in an organization, you are able to create your own layout for PDF report downloads. With Custom PDF Download Layouts you can decide how many pages your download will have, as well as the page layout and how the charts are displayed. This gives you complete control over how your PDF report downloads would look like.

You can create several layouts per report for different purposes. For example, you can create a layout for managers and one for top management.

Survey admins and collaborators can create layouts, while readers are only able to use them when a report is shared with them.

You can create up to 10 PDF layouts per report.

Create Custom PDF Download Layouts

To create a Custom PDF Download Layout you have to:

1. Go to your report and select download on the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon () to open it first.
2. Next to layout, click create.
3. Name your layout and click continue.
4. You will now see all the sections in your report and you can start adding pages per section.
5. Click on the page placeholder to add a new page and select a layout for the page.
   
6. The page will be added immediately. Click on the page to define how the charts are displayed.
   
7. Click on the the add element icon () and select the element you would like to add in that particular slot. Continue to add elements until you're done and your page looks something like this:
   
8. Click on the back icon () to go back to the report section overview.
9. Repeat steps 5 - 8 to add more pages.
10. When you're done, click the close icon () to go back to the download page of your report.

Download Reports Using a Custom PDF Layout

Now that you have created a Customer PDF Download Layout, you can use it when you download PDF reports. All you have to do is:

1. Go to your report and select download on the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon () to open it first.
2. Select PDF as the file format.
3. Select your new layout from the dropdown menu.
4. Under optional pages, you can choose to include charts, open answers, front page, and/or divider pages.
   

   If you have enabled open answers but are not seeing them in your PDF download, they might be a text entry in another question. Read this article to download the open answers.

5. Finally, click download. Once your report is ready to download, you can find it under messages. You can keep working on Enalyzer while you wait.
6. When the report is ready, you have to click on your name in the top right corner and click on messages.
   
7. Click the download button to download your report.
   

PDF reports are limited to downloading 1000 open answers.
