Manage Survey Elements

About Managing Survey Elements

You can add content to your surveys with the following Survey Elements:

You can easily manage these elements, i.e. copy, delete and move them around.

Delete Survey Elements

If you no longer need a Survey Element, it can be deleted. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

To delete a Survey Element, all you have to do is:

  1. Go to your survey, and click on the checkbox on the left side of the survey element(s) that you want to delete.
  2. Click on the actions menu and select delete.
  3. The selected elements will be deleted immediately.

If your survey has collected or imported responses, deleting a question will remove all of the data associated with that question.

Copy Survey Elements

Save some time by copying Survey Elements you already have created. To copy a Survey Element, all you have to do is:

  1. Go to your survey, and click on the checkbox on the left side of the survey element(s) that you want to copy.
  2. Click on the actions menu and select copy.
  3. A copy of the selected elements will appear at the end of the survey.

Move Survey Elements

You may need to change the order of your Survey Elements. To move Survey Elements, all you have to do is:

  1. Go to your survey, click on the actions menu, and select move
  2. Drag and drop your Survey Elements in the order that you want.
  3. When you are satisfied, click done.

Page Breaks

If your survey is long, it can be a good idea to group your Survey Elements into pages. Respondents will feel they are making progress as they reach each new page, and it can help you organize your survey into logical sections.

  1. Go to your survey, click on the actions menu, and select move.
  2. To group Survey Elements on one page, you have to remove the page break by clicking - page break.
  3. To split Survey Elements into single pages, you have to add a page break by clicking + page break.
  4. When you are satisfied, click done.

End pages will always have a page break before and after.
