About Categories

Imagine your survey asks respondents to rate their satisfaction with your company or product and you'd like to filter those with a high or low satisfaction, but how? Categories* are used to tag and filter respondents based on the criteria you define. Assign colors to your categories to keep a tidy overview.

Create Categories

  1. Go to your survey and select responses in the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon () to open it first.
  2. Open the options menu.
  3. Click on categories and add category.
  4. Name your category.
  5. Select a color.
  6. Click the add filter button to define this category.
  7. Select your variable and click add.
  8. You can add as many filters as needed, simply repeat steps 6 and 7 until you're satisfied.
  9. Click add when you're done.

Category Notifications

This feature allows you to receive email notifications when incoming responses match the chosen category. This allows you to react quickly to critical incoming data, for example, a negative customer rating on your product or service. 

Category notifications can be activated to your own account or to that of another member in the organization. 

To enable notifications on a category, you have to:

  1. Go to your survey and select responses in the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon () to open it first.
  2. Open the options menu.
  3. Click on categories.
  4. Click on the category you want to get a notification on.
  5. Enable the get notified by email setting.
  6. You'll be notified the next time an incoming response matches your category.

To add a member of your organization to the category notifications, you have to: 

  1. Go to your survey and select responses in the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon () to open it first.
  2. Open the options menu.
  3. Click on categories.
  4. Click on the category you want to add a member to.
  5. Click on add members
  6. Click add.
  7. The added member will be notified the next time an incoming response matches their category.

Filter Responses by Categories

Filter your response list based on your categories. All you have to do is:

  1. Go to your survey and select responses in the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon () to open it first.
  2. Click on filter and a side menu will open.
  3. Click on the dropdown menu, click categories and select from the categories you've created. If you want to clear your filters, open the filter menu, and click the clear all button.
