About Anonymity Level
When conducting an anonymous survey, respondents need to be confident that the survey will be conducted and processed in a manner that guarantees their absolute anonymity.
Therefore, when you share reports or charts with other parties, such as supervisors and managers, not only does Enalyzer allow you to set your survey's anonymity degree, but also the anonymity level of your reports and charts. Sharing a report based on a survey with a low level of responses can compromise your respondent's anonymity, therefore Enalyzer allows you to set a minimum of responses needed before the data can be shown to those you share your report with.
Anonymity Level in Reports
When you apply the anonymity level feature to your report, all charts within the report will be affected by it. To apply an anonymity level to your report, you have to:
- Go to your report and select settings on the side menu. If the menu is closed click on the menu icon (
) to open it first.
- Under data, enable the anonymity level setting.
- Set the number of respondents needed before the data is shown. This setting has a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 10 respondents.
We recommend you set the anonymity level at 5 respondents.
- Your changes will be saved immediately.
Any chart that does not reach the anonymity level you've defined, will look like the image below.
Data Series and Granular Anonymity
For comparison and time series charts or charts with data series, you are able to add granular/data series anonymity, which means you can anonymize singular data points instead of the entire chart. The data points that reach the anonymity level will be shown, while the others will remain hidden.
To enable this feature, you have to:
- Go to your report and select content on the side menu. If the menu is closed click on the menu icon (
) to open it first.
- Click the heading of an anonymized chart to open the edit chart side menu.
- Click on settings.
- Enable the anonymity setting and your chart will now look something like this:
- Your changes will be saved immediately.
Anonymity Level in Charts

- Enable the anonymity level setting.
- Set the number of respondents needed before the data is shown. This setting has a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 10 respondents.
We recommend you set the anonymity level at 5 respondents.

- If you haven't done so yet, share the chart link.
