About File Upload Questions

File Upload questions allow respondents to upload files to your surveys.

File Upload questions support the following file types:

pdf
doc
docx
pages
rtf
txt
pps
ppt
pptx
keys
xls
xlsx
numbers
csv
vcf
xml
gif
jpg
png
svg

Respondents can upload files of a max of 5MB.

Add File Upload Questions

To add a File Upload question, all you have to do is:

  1. Go to your survey, click on the add survey element icon () and choose question.
  2. Select file upload and click next.
  3. Type in your question and change the typography (bold, italic, and underline).

    Use the merge field dropdown menu to insert your respondents' background information or their answers to previous questions.

    The length of question text is restricted to max. 250 characters.

  4. Add a helpful description, if relevant.
  5. When you are satisfied with your question, click next.
  6. Now you can set up the question settings:
    • Require answer: This setting is enabled by default. Disable it if you don’t want your question to be mandatory.
    • Multiple uploads: Enable this setting to allow your respondents to upload multiple images.
  7. When you have finalized your question and customized the settings, click add.

File Upload Questions in Response Data Downloads

You can download your survey responses from Enalyzer for several purposes. You can use the file for analysis in other software, share it with your team, or import it to another Enalyzer survey.

In the response data download, File Upload questions are found in one column. Links to download the submitted files will be displayed in each respondent's row. If you allowed multiple uploads, there will be multiple links separated by a comma (,).

Enalyzer doesn't know the source of the files submitted, therefore we can't guarantee their safety. Download the files at your own risk.

File Upload Questions in Reports

You can use Frequency Charts to add File Upload questions to your reports. You can download the submitted files from within reports.
