Can I share versions of my report?

Yes. Let's say you have an Employee Satisfaction report and you want to share the feedback from Sales to the manager, however, to keep things confidential, she shouldn't be able to see the feedback from the Marketing department. What do you do? You create different versions of your report and share those instead.

There are two ways of doing this, you can either create them first and share them or create and share them by importing a csv file.

Create and share report versions

  1. Navigate to your report and click filters.
  2. Define your filter criteria.
  3. Click on filters again and click save as new version*.
  4. Name your filter version and click save.
  5. Click edit and click on the version.
  6. Click invite new readers, insert the emails and click next.
  7. Click send now to share your report version.

Create and share report versions

You can import readers and create report versions using a CSV file. If we continue with the aforementioned example, we'll create a filter called "Department" and then create versions and share them with a CSV file. For this example, the CSV file would look something like this:

  1. Navigate to your report and click filters.
  2. Define your filter criteria.
  3. Click on the report menu icon () and select share.
  4. Click on create/share versions*.
  5. Drag & drop or upload your csv file.
  6. Link the fields from your CSV file to the open filters in your report and click next.
  7. You'll get an overview of the readers you're going to invite and the versions you're about to create. If you're satisfied, click next.
  8. Click send now to create and share your report versions.
