With surveys, timing is everything so its important that you create a timeline for when your survey opens/closes, as well as when to send survey invitations and reminders. Whoa - sounds time-consuming, but what if I told you that all of this can be done automatically?
Automatically open your survey
- Navigate to your survey and select responses on the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon (
) to open it first.
- Open the options menu and click on schedule.
- By default, surveys are open for respondents, however, if you want to schedule when the survey is open, click on the drop-down menu and select closed.
- Enable the setting open at specific time* by clicking on the toggle switch.
- Choose a date and a time.
- If you don't want to schedule a date and time to close your survey, click save to finish.
- If not, enable the close at specific time setting by click on the toggle switch and set a date and a time.
- Click save to finish.
Automatically close your survey
- Navigate to your survey and select responses on the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon (
) to open it first.
- Open the options menu and click on schedule.
- By default, surveys are open for respondents, however, if not, you have to open it first before you can set the closing time.
- Enable the close at specific time* setting by clicking on the toggle switch.
- Choose a date and a time and click save to finish.
Schedule first and second reminder
- Navigate to your survey and select responses on the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon (
) to open it first.
- Open the options menu and click on schedule.
- Enable the first reminder* by clicking on the toggle switch.
- Select the message that will be sent as a reminder.
- Set the number of days after the invitation, which is when the reminder will be sent.
- Enable the second reminder* by clicking on the toggle switch.
- Repeat steps 2 & 3.
- Click save to finish.
Set a limited response time
You can give your respondents a set amount of time to answer your survey, for example, they have 5 days to answer from when they receive the initial invitations.
- Navigate to your survey and select responses on the side menu. If the menu is closed, click on the menu icon (
) to open it first.
- Open the options menu and click on schedule.
- Enable the limited response time* setting by clicking on the toggle switch.
- Set the number of days after the invitation, first or second reminder (depending on your scheduling settings), which is when the survey will close for the respondent.
- Click save to finish.
